Six clip handles so a small part can be held, turned and set down without ever being touched. Fingerprints on a part before finishing are the reason a finish lifts later, and the only reliable fix is not touching it in the first place.
The base is weighted and flat-bottomed so a handle stands up on its own with a part on it. A handle that falls over takes the wet part onto the bench with it, which is the failure that makes people stop using them.
Six is the right number for one session. Parts need to stand somewhere while they dry, and one or two handles means waiting.

- Fits
- Clip opens to 12 mm and holds flat stock from 0.2 mm and round stock up to 10 mm. Base is 32 mm across and stands unaided with a part up to about 40 g.
- Service life
- Indefinite for the body; the clip sleeves are the wear part and are good for one to two years before they harden and start marking. The check is the sleeve surface - once it is glossy and stiff rather than matte and soft, it will print onto a finish.
- Composition
- Glass-filled nylon body with a steel alligator clip and a zinc-weighted base. Clip jaws lined with a soft polymer sleeve to avoid marking finished surfaces.

Fitting & care
- Clip onto a mating surface or a sprue stub wherever you can, rather than onto a face that will be seen.
- Wipe the sleeves with a damp cloth between sessions; dried overspray on a sleeve is what marks the next part.
- Let a part dry on the handle rather than moving it. That is the point of the weighted base.
Cautions
- Not for parts heavier than about 40 g, which will tip the base over.
- Not for use in an oven, a dehydrator or under a heat lamp. The nylon softens and the base loses its weight fixing.
- Not to be soaked in solvent - the sleeves swell and will never grip properly again.
