An unbroken run of grades from a cut-2 file through to 12000 polishing film. The point of buying it as a kit is the run itself: every grade removes the previous one's marks, and a gap in the sequence is what leaves scratches that only appear under primer, when they are expensive to fix.
Six file shapes for removing material, four sanding sticks for seams, six film grades for flatting and four for polishing. That covers a seam from the moment it is cut to the moment it is clear.
Bought separately these come to eighty-seven dollars.

- Fits
- Works on styrene, ABS, resin, clear parts, cured filler and primer. The grades are on one standard end to end, so each step actually clears the one before it. File handles are not included - see AB-02.
- Service life
- The files are long-life; the sticks and both film sets are consumable and will cover one to three kits depending on how much seam and clear work each needs. Each product page carries its own wear check.
- Composition
- One six-piece cut-2 needle file set (AB-01), one set of four sanding sticks 400-1000 (AB-03), one graded film set 600-3000 (AB-04), one polishing film set 4000-12000 (AB-05).

Fitting & care
- Work the sequence in order and do not skip a grade; skipping is the single most common reason a finish comes out hazy.
- Rinse the part and your hands between grades so no coarse grain is carried up.
- Brush the files out every few minutes on plastic - a loaded file burnishes instead of cutting.
Cautions
- Not a paint kit. There are no liquids, primers or finishes in this catalog.
- Not enough on its own for a heavily flawed part - deep gaps need filling before any of this will help.
- Not for bare metal edges you want to keep crisp; every item here rounds an edge.
